⚠️ Before we go into recommendations, I just want to emphasise that not all rooms in these hotels have the view of the Empire State Building, so if you’re specifically looking for a room that has it, make sure to read the rooms descriptions before booking. Hotels on this list either offer some rooms with the Empire State Building views or rooftop bars or both.
Short on time? Here are my top recommendations:
- Best Value for Price: Archer Hotel
- Most Luxurious: The Langham
- Best Private Terrace: Hotel AKA NoMad
- Most Affordable: Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Avenue
The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue
In general the best hotels with the Empire State Building views are in Midtown Manhattan because of their close proximity to the icon of New York. This is also my favourite area in NYC because not only is the Empire State Building close, most of the popular attractions of NYC are there, such as Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Terminal to name a few.
The Langham is exactly in Midtown, between Bryant Park and the Empire State Building (322 m or 1056 ft from it).
It’s a beautiful luxury hotel with 14 suites that offer incredible and up close Empire State Building views. 🤩
⭐️ 5 star ❤️ 9.2 Superb 💰£444+ per night 🏩 Book it
💡The Empire State Building can be visited with the NYC City Pass or bought separately.
Archer Hotel New York
Archer Hotel is a stunning hotel in Midtown Manhattan with incredible views and a fraction of the price of Langham.
The interior is so unique and stylish, but what I love the most is that not only are there rooms with amazing Empire State Building views, but there’s a rooftop bar too where you can enjoy the views while sipping your favourite cocktail.
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.6 Fabulous 💰£240+ per night 🏩 Book it
Arlo NoMad
For a trendy stay with epic views of the Empire State Building, Arlo NoMad ticks all the boxes.
Similar to Archer, you can enjoy the great views from both your hotel room and a rooftop bar. What’s great about the rooms though is that some of them have floor-to-ceiling windows and there are some with private terraces – great for feeling like your home is NYC!
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.3 Very Good 💰£190+ per night 🏩 Book it
Refinery Hotel – New York
The Refinery Hotel has that industrial-chic charm, but what makes it stand out even more are the views of the Empire State Building, especially from its rooftop bar. 🤩
If you’re looking for a stylish spot to enjoy NYC while soaking up views of its most famous landmark, this is it. Plus, it’s a perfect value for price!
⭐️ 5 star ❤️ 8.4 Very Good 💰£307+ per night 🏩 Book it

Marriott Vacation Club®, New York City
Marriott Vacation Club combines a homely comfort with some of the best views you can get of the Empire State Building.
While there are some guest rooms with partial and up close Empire State Building views, the rooftop at Marriott is amazing. It might even have the best views of all these hotels (it’s hard to decide lol). Surely it’s a great choice + it’s a budget-friendly option!
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.7 Fabulous 💰£143+ per night 🏩 Book it
Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York
If you’re looking for a more intimate setting with iconic views, Executive Hotel Le Soleil is a perfect choice.
The hotel has a Parisian elegance that pairs well with the city’s energy. After a day of exploring, there’s nothing better than coming back to that iconic view from your window (Empire View Queen Room).
The best part? The price is very reasonable for NYC!

Hotel AKA NoMad
Hotel AKA NoMad is definitely one of the best hotels with Empire State Building views and mainly because there are rooms with private terraces that come with the views. Honestly, I can’t imagine a better way to start and/or finish your day than at the terrace, drinking morning coffee or evening drinks while soaking up the private views. 😍
It also doesn’t cost a fortune, especially if booked well in advance!
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.3 Very Good 💰£209+ per night 🏩 Book it
Hyatt Centric Midtown 5th Avenue New York
Hyatt Centric Midtown is another budget-friendly choice with great views of the Empire State Building.
There are rooms with the direct view + amazing rooftop bar!
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.1 Very Good 💰£174+ per night 🏩 Book it
Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Avenue
Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Avenue is the most budget-friendly option on this list.
While the hotel rooms are pretty basic compared to other hotels, some of them have great views of the Empire State Building. Hilton has a great value for price, so if you’re looking for something that won’t break your bank, but would still come with the nice views, this is a really good choice.
⭐️ 3 star ❤️ 8.0 Very Good 💰£124+ per night 🏩 Book it
Kixby
Kixby is such a chic hotel with amazing interior design.
While rooms don’t really have good views of the Empire State Building, the rooftop is on the other hand amazing, given the close proximity to the building itself.
The price is also reasonable for NYC!
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.3 Very Good 💰£173+ per night 🏩 Book it
Hyatt Herald Square New York
Similar to Kixby, Hyatt Herald Square New York doesn’t have the rooms with the Empire State Building, but has a great rooftop bar instead!
It’s surely a nice boutique hotel close to many main attractions of NYC.
⭐️ 4 star ❤️ 8.1 Very Good 💰£298+ per night 🏩 Book it
