Grand Hotel San Pietro

Grand Hotel San Pietro is not only very instagrammable, but it also has an interesting history. The villa, which is now the hotel, was built in the 1900s for 2 Danish sisters who were travelling and fell in love with Sicily.

Because it is sitting high above the Mediterranean, if you stay at Grand Hotel San Pietro, you will enjoy gorgeous views of Mount Etna and Isola Bella, the most famous beach of Taormina and a nature reserve.

The location of Grand Hotel San Pietro is perfect for taking beautiful photos, especially from its infinity pool! The gardens and terraces will give you plenty of beautiful photo spots too.

The Ashbee Hotel is a 5 star hotel that was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was a villa originally built by English architect Robert Charles Ashbee in 1908. It’s designed in the Greco-Sicilian style and the whole hotel complex would make you feel like you’re in a movie.

The rooftop terrace is perfect for sunset shots, while the infinity pool is a great place for enjoying panoramic sea views perfect for Instagram. I don’t know about you, but I just love aesthetic Instagram photos. So staying in such hotels is just one of the many bucket list items for me!

Palazzo Vecchio Taormina

Palazzo Vecchio Taormina is built on a 16th century wall and it’s right in Taormina town centre.

The hotel is full of character, from its traditional Sicilian interiors to the quiet courtyard. The balconies offer great views of Taormina’s old town, making it an easy choice for taking picture-perfect moments.

The bathrooms are particularly very elegant, made of marble to resemble the Ottoman-style Turkish spa.

However, the most instagrammable place at Palazzo Vecchio Taormina is at its Blu Sky Rooftop Bar.

Mazzaro Sea Palace is another luxury 5 star hotel in Taormina with a private beach area. You can walk for 12 min to get to Isola Bella. To reach Taormina centre, you can take a cable car or drive for approximately 30 minutes.

All rooms at Mazzaro Sea Palace offer amazing views of the Ionian Sea. But my favourite is a Suite with a Private Pool. It is so instagrammable. 😍

If you ask me, Taormina’s Grand Hotel Timeo is probably THE BEST hotel you can book in Taormina. It is right opposite the Ancient Theatre of Taormina!

Many writers kept visiting Grand Hotel Timeo, such as Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams and Truman Capote. It is also a favourite hotel of famous people like Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Valentino, Madonna and Elton John.

A picture-perfect stay can’t get better than this!

San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel

San Domenico Palace Hotel has an interesting history. It dates back to the 14th century when it was a monastery only to be turned into a hotel in 1896 when they added The Grand Hotel Wing.

However, a Four Seasons Hotel Group opened San Domenico Palace in 2021 under their name! Guests can enjoy their historical frescoes and wander around its gardens which is pretty cool. You pretty much have a private attraction for yourself. It’s a perfect stay for taking some of the most beautiful Instagram photos.

And if you’re a White Lotus fan, you probably know that season 2 was filmed at San Domenico Palace. So, if you want to recreate some of the scenes from the series, this is your chance!

Villa Fiorita is a beautiful boutique hotel in an antique building of the early 1st century AD in the centre of Taormina. There are many great photo opportunities inside the hotel that look really beautiful! The best part? No other tourists around you, only hotel guests!

It’s such a photogenic place to stay because of its cosy boutique style and beautiful Mediterranean gardens. Plus, the views from the terraces are perfect for taking some scenic shots.
