Key Taylor Swift Locations in London

While this London guide for Taylor Swift locations is not extensive (otherwise instead of a blog, I’d be writing a book ๐Ÿ˜…), it is covering the best and most significant locations. It’s a great mix of both more popular locations as well as the local ones, so you’d get to experience both touristy and local London, which is the best! ๐Ÿ˜ And I don’t know about you, but I love exploring popular filming, musical and literary places!

Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath is an ancient heath in London. It’s a beautiful green space in London and also one of the highest points in the city. The good views are guaranteed.

In Taylor’s album Lover, and precisely in her song London Boy, she’s singing about walking through London and this was one of the places:

Stick with me, I’m your queen
Like a Tennessee Stella McCartney on the Heath
Just wanna be with you (ooh)

Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill is one of the best parks with the view in London. I love being there because you have the London skyline on the horizon. I love to combine it with Regent’s Park. Also, Camden Market is pretty close too, so you can do this short tour because as you’ll see, Camden Town will be one of Taylor Swift’s locations in London too!

Taylor Swift lived with actor Joe Alwyn there in a ยฃ7,000,000 house! ๐Ÿ˜… They spent much of the covid 2020 lockdown there.

Primrose Hill, Swift's Location

The Bull and Gate, Kentish Town

The Bull and Gate is a famous Kentish Town pub, formerly known for live music. It was a major player in the 1980s indie music scene with iconic bands including Coldplay, Blur, Oasis and The Manic Street Preachers who all performed there.

The pub was featured in the End Game video.

The Black Dog, Vauxhall

Another pub for all the Swifties out there! The Black Dog in Vauxhall, South London was shown in Taylor Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department.

The pub became popular overnight once the fans realised it was shown on her 11th album. Once the owners realised what’s going on, they decided to recreate Swift-themed burgers and cocktails because Taylor used to come here herself. ๐Ÿ˜

And so I watch as you walk
Into some bar called The Black Dog

Vauxhall, London

Portobello Road Market

Portobello Road Market is one of the best, and busiest, London markets. Vendors are mainly selling antiques, vintage fashion and food. The street food there is actually one of the best in London!

For all the Taylor Swift fans out there, she actually visited the market in 2012 and went to Alice’s, the most popular antique dealer which sells period furniture. It’s also one of the most instagrammable places in London. ๐Ÿ˜

Alice's Portobello Road Market

Camden Market

So, Camden Market is THE MOST hipsterish place in London! It’s another market that mainly sells antiques, vintage fashion, but also offers a very diverse food scene, vibrant music performances and rich cultural offerings! Let me only say this: there are more than 1000 shops there! ๐Ÿ˜…

So, it’s no surprise that Swift sings about it in her London Boy song:

You know I love a London boy
I enjoy walking Camden Market in the afternoon

Camden Town

The Savoy

The Savoy is a 5 star luxury hotel in the centre of London. It’s been a famous place since the 19th century. Elizabeth Taylor and The Beatles are just some of the famous people who chose to stay there. It is no surprise that Taylor Swift also loves to stay there when she’s in London.

The Savoy Hotel was also shown in the End Game music video with Ed Sheeran.

The view of the London Eye is amazing from the hotel, so who can blame her for staying there? ๐Ÿ˜

London Eye

Soho and Carnaby Street

Soho is not only one of Taylor Swift’s favourite areas, but also of us locals. It’s close to the main shopping streets, Regent and Oxford Street, it’s a home of many high tech companies like Meta, super close to the West End and full of life.

Taylor Swift loves to party there, and while her favourite is The Soho House, which is a members-only club, you can still explore the area.

Carnaby Street is the cutest street of Soho and if you happen to be around Christmas time, it is always beautifully decorated.

In her London Boy song she mentions Soho:

You know I love a London boy
I enjoy walking Soho, drinking in the afternoon (yeah)

Carnaby Street

Shakespeareโ€™s Globe Theatre

Of course, who is the most popular British writer other than William Shakespeare? His tragedy Romeo & Juliet inspired Swift’s song Love Story. She sings about how they fell in love when they were young. Obviously the song is not completely based off of play, but it has major references to it, so it’s pretty clear how Shakespeare influenced Taylor and her music.

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes and the flashback starts
I’m standin’ there
On a balcony in summer air
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns
See you make your way through the crowd
And say, “Hello”
Little did I know

That you were Romeo, you were throwin’ pebbles
And my daddy said, “Stay away from Juliet”
And I was cryin’ on the staircase
Beggin’ you, “Please don’t go, ” and I said

Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I’ll be waiting, all there’s left to do is run
You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess
It’s a love story, baby, just say, “Yes”

Louis Vuitton, New Bond Street

In her London Boy song, Taylor tells her lover, who is most likely to be Alwyn, that the place he takes her doesn’t have to be Louis Vuitton on Bond Street.

So please show me Hackney
Doesn’t have to be Louis V up on Bond Street

But as you’d anyway be strolling around Soho and Carnaby Street and on your way to the West End, you can also make a stop at the Louis Vuitton store on New Bond Street.

Louis Vuitton, New Bond Street

The O2 Arena

Taylor Swift used to perform at O2, so it’s a nice spot to visit if you have time. This whole part of the city is more local and with Manhattan vibes, so I highly recommend it. You can also check what’s happening there during your visit!

Hyde Park

Hyde Park is my favourite park in London! It’s as big as Central Park in New York City, which means you can easily spend hours walking. If the weather allows (which is most of the time not the case lol), you can even have a picnic there and just chillax.

Every summer there’s a festival called British Summer Time happening hosting some of the best music performers. It’s no surprise that Taylor Swift had her concert in 2015 British Summer Time!

Hyde Park, British Summer Time

London Palladium

Swifties were surprised when Taylor came to London only to support her friend Cara Delevingne in the West End musical Cabaret. The two of them have been friends ever since Cara starred on Taylor’s music video for Bad Blood.

London Palladium is a great venue, I highly recommend checking what’s going on when you’re around.

London Palladium

West End

So, the West End is just like NYC’s Broadway! And as we’ve seen Taylor loves to watch some West End shows when she’s in London.

She also sings about it in her London Boy song:

And now I love high tea, stories from uni, and the West End

My personal favourite is Les Miserables, cannot recommend it more!

West End, London

Shoreditch

Another neighbourhood that Swift mentions in her London Boy song is Shoreditch.

You know I love a London boy
I enjoy nights in Brixton, Shoreditch in the afternoon

I worked in the area and always love to come back because it is hipsterish enough, the food and cultural scene is great and it is a very local part of London!

Definitely recommend you to check the BoxPark Shoreditch for food and drinks!

Boxpark Shoreditch

Brixton

In London Boy song next to Shoreditch, she mentions Brixton too:

You know I love a London boy
I enjoy nights in Brixton, Shoreditch in the afternoon

While Brixton is not my favourite London area, it has some pretty cool street art and food scene!

Brixton

Hackney

Next up in our Taylor Swift London Guide is Hackney in North London.

Surprise, surprise, she has also mentioned Hackney in her London Boy song! ๐Ÿ˜…

So please show me Hackney
Doesn’t have to be Louis V up on Bond Street

Highgate

Also mentioned in her London Boy song:

Took me back to Highgate, met all of his best mates
So I guess all the rumors are true
You know I love a London boy
Boy, I fancy you (ooh)

She went to The Flask pub with Alwyn, so it’s a pretty cool spot to have that pint!

Wembley Stadium

And we have got to our final Taylor Swift location in this London Guide: Wembley Stadium.

Her Eras Tour was held here, so perhaps in the near future she’ll have another concert at Wembley in case you missed this one.

Around 90,000 people can fit in the stadium!

I went to one concert there and watched the football game and it was AWESOME! ๐Ÿคฉ

Wembley Stadium

Google Maps with Locations of this Taylor Swift London Guide

I created this Google Maps with all the Taylor Swift locations and separated them into different London areas, so it’s easier for you to plan ahead when visiting.

It will cover West, East, North and South London.

Taylor Swift-Themed Events in London

Apart from visiting all these great Taylor Swift London locations that I mentioned in my guide, there are also some pretty cool themed events you can do! ๐Ÿคฉ

Taylor Swift’s London Boy Music Video Sights Tour

As you probably noticed by now, most of these Taylor Swift locations in London have been mentioned in her music video London Boy. This tour will get you to all the spots from the video + spots from Clean and End Game. The tour will finish at the kebab shop which happens to be Taylor’s favourite when she’s around!

Taylor Swift Afternoon Tea Bus

What’s better than having an afternoon tea on the bus while sightseeing London’s best landmarks and singing to Swift’s songs? ๐Ÿคฉ

London Bus

Taylor Swift | Songbook Trail

This Taylor Swift Exhibition is opening on Saturday July 27th. You can explore a range of her iconic looks on display.

Gaucho Brunch – Taylor’s Version

Probably the best foodie option for all Swifties! The brunch is based on Taylor’s favourites, such as buttermilk fried chicken tenders. They also serve special cocktails: Midnight Martini, Speak Now Spritz and Cruel Summer Cosmo.

Shakespeare Guided Tours

So, as we know, Shakespeare influenced Taylor Swift a lot, especially in her song Love Story which is based on Romeo and Juliet play.

Shakespeare has left a big cultural heritage in the UK, so if you’d like to learn more about him and draw connections with Taylor Swift, these are some of the Shakespeare tours worth considering:

This tour is led by a former professional actor. You will learn about Shakespeareโ€™s London, listen to extracts from the plays and delve into Shakespeare’s religion and sexuality too.

This guided tour is great for those who would like to go inside the Shakespeare’s Globe and learn more about its history.

This tour is private and offers 3 options: 2h, 3h and 5h options. If you choose the 2h option, you will do the Shakespeare’s Walk and visit the most popular Shakespeare’s sights in London. If you choose the 3h option, you will also go inside the Shakespeare’s Globe. And with the 5h option you will do all of that + watch a play.

Taylor Swift London Hotels

So, here’s the list of the hotels where Taylor loves to stay or offer Taylor Swift Experiences:

Taylor was spotted here twice in 2012.

It’s a historic hotel in London where Taylor stayed multiple times already. It’s glass-roofed atrium with palm trees is simply stunning. ๐Ÿ˜

  • The Savoy – already mentioned in this blog

Taylor was spotted here in 2013. If you ask me, this building is the ultimate Harry Potter vibes and is a great location to stay because it’s just across Hyde Park, my favourite part of London. โค๏ธ

Taylor was spotted here a few times sipping her tea. It’s a really gorgeous place to stay!

This hotel is not only where Taylor Swift filmed I Don’t Wanna Live Forever, but also of the iconic Spice Girls staircase too.

And, it was also used as a filming location for Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets.

St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

Taylor was spotted there in 2010.

A beautiful boutique hotel where Taylor was spotted in 2014.

A great hotel that currently has The Treehouse Era offer for anyone visiting and going to the Wembley concert. You’ll get ยฃ30 food and beverage credit and return transfers from the hotel to the concert.

Also, their restaurant has one of the best Mexican food in the city!

Treehouse London

Great option for anyone who’s going to the concert and wants to stay close to the Wembley Stadium!

Taylor Swift Goodies for all the Swifties

If you’re going to the concert or simply want to have a Taylor Swift goodie, these are some cute options for you:
