Turkey is one of my favourite countries in the world. It has a rich history, the nicest people, beautiful architecture, amazing food and is safe to visit.

5 Top Tips for Visiting Turkey:
- Turkey is a large country, so don’t expect to see it all in a week.
- Turkey is still a cash-heavy destination and while you can pay in cards in some places, it’s always recommended to have cash too.
- You’d be good with English in tourist places, but you may struggle with communication in off the beaten places, so have a Google Translate with you.
- Tipping is not customary, but is appreciated.
- Bargaining is a part of Turkish culture, so don’t be shy about it.
