10 Best Istanbul Hotels with Hagia Sophia View

It’s no surprise that I love staying in hotels with beautiful views. So, when it comes to Istanbul, nothing beats waking up to the views of Hagia Sofia, its main landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this travel blog, I am sharing with you my 10 best Istanbul hotels with Hagia Sophia view.

Hotels on this list range from boutique to luxury, but they all come with beautiful Hagia Sophia views.

💡Hagia Sophia is currently undergoing restoration works and is covered in scaffolding. There is no known timetable when the work may end, so double check before your trip.

⚠️ Before we go into recommendations, I just want to emphasise that not all rooms in these hotels have the view of Hagia Sophia, so if you’re specifically looking for a room that has it, make sure to read the rooms descriptions before booking. However, they all have a common area with the view.

Seven Hills Hotel

Seven Hills Hotel is my personal favourite hotel in Istanbul with the view of Hagia Sophia.

It’s located in the centre of Sultanahmet, its most historic neighbourhood. Their rooftop terrace is amazing because you have direct and close views of both Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, another gorgeous landmark in Istanbul.

But the best part is that even suites that come with the Hagia Sophia view are not expensive and they fall into the category of what I love to call affordable luxury.

Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel

Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel is a beautiful 5 star hotel in Sultanahmet and only about 2 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia.

What I love about it is that it is designed in the Ottoman style, so it will really transport you into the time of the sultans.

Another great thing is that they have an outdoor swimming pool, which can come really handy in the summer time because Istanbul has no beaches to relax and it can get really hot there in the peak season.

They too have a beautiful terrace with panoramic views and rooms that come with the Hagia Sophia view.

Rast Hotel Sultanahmet

Rast Hotel Sultanahmet is a beautiful 4 star hotel in Istanbul.

It’s located in Fatih, close to Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet.

They too have an amazing terrace with the Hagia Sophia views and some rooms have French-style balconies with the view.

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul is the best luxury hotel with Hagia Sophia view.

They have a beautiful terrace with the views, but if you can, I would definitely book St. Sophia Suite, so you can enjoy the views of Hagia Sophia privately.

Aristocrat Hotel is on the other hand more affordable, but also comes with beautiful views of Hagia Sophia, especially from its terrace.

It is also one of the hotels that is very affordable and definitely a great value for price.

It’s near all the major attractions, including Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, all of which you can see from the terrace.

The And Hotel Sultanahmet

The And Hotel Sultanahmet is one of my favourites when it comes to a private terrace with the view.

You’re looking directly at Hagia Sophia and the best part – it is so affordable to stay there!

Additionally, there’s a panoramic terrace too, so even if you don’t book a room with the view, you can enjoy it from the rooftop.

While some rooms and suites come with the sea views, you can spend morning or evenings at the rooftop terrace where you can look directly at both Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.
