Croatia
Croatia is a small Mediterranean country that many people haven’t heard about before Game of Thrones. It is also a country where I was born and grew up.
While I may be biased when saying that Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, I’m sure you’d feel the same once you come here. From mountains and vineyards to lakes and clear turquoise Adriatic Sea, Croatia is a country that has it all!

When is the best time to visit?
Croatia is a great destination to visit at any time of the year, but especially during the summer.
5 Top Tips for Visiting Croatia:
- Croatia is not a public transportation-friendly country, so renting a car is the best thing to do when it comes to getting around Croatia.
- Croatia is still a cash-heavy destination and while you can pay in cards in a lot of places, it’s always recommended to have cash too.
- Croatians speak English very well, so you won’t have any issues with communicating.
- Tipping is not customary, but is appreciated.
- It is safe to drink tap water in Croatia.
