10 Best Hotels with Pyramids View in Cairo for All Budgets

If you’re reading this blog post, then it means you already started planning your trip to Egypt – yaay! As A Historian, Egypt is my favourite country in the world when it comes to history. There’s even needless to mention that it is the only country in the world that still has a World Wonder of the Old World that you can actually visit! For me, the Great Pyramid of Giza and the whole pyramid complex of Cairo was such a dream come true moment. Which is also why you need to book a hotel in Giza that has these amazing views of the pyramids. In this blog post I am bringing you my list of the best 10 hotels with pyramids view in Cairo for every budget!

To my surprise, pyramids are not in some remote area of Cairo, quite the contrary! They are so close to it, which is why there are many hotels in Giza that have awesome views of the pyramids. If you ask me, there is no better way than to start and finish your day while soaking up the views of the most impressive historical site.

⚠️ Before we go into recommendations, I just want to emphasise that not all rooms in these hotels have the view of the pyramids, so if you’re specifically looking for a room that has it, make sure to read the rooms descriptions before booking. On the other hand, all hotels on this list have a common rooftop terrace with the pyramid views.

Great Pyramid Inn

I stayed at the Great Pyramid Inn and loved every single second of it!

We arrived in Cairo in the late afternoon, so by the time we were in our hotel (it’s a 1h drive from Cairo International Airport), the sunset was already starting.

And that’s when the euphoria kicked me and when I realised that I am indeed in this mythical land of pharaohs. When you actually witness the sun setting over the pyramids with your very two eyes, it is then when you truly understand the whole idea and concept of Egyptian mythology and why they buried themselves on the West Side.

Great Pyramid Inn has some of the best rooftops overlooking the pyramids. It is actually super close to the entrance to the site complex (a 5 minute walk).

We also booked a room with the pyramids view, so imagine the feeling of waking up and when you pull the curtains, the first thing you see are the pyramids.

And then you have a breakfast with the view too (a free breakfast is included in the price). Starting a day will never again be the same.

Guardian Guest House

Guardian Guest House is one of the most popular hotels in Cairo because it is very instagrammable.
There’s a bed right next to the window with the exact views as you see above. Waking up in the morning is even more beautiful here than at the Great Pyramid.

There’s also a very nice rooftop area and it is also only a 5 minute walk to the pyramids.

While the starting price is a bit more expensive than at the Great Pyramid Inn, hotel rooms with the pyramids views are a bit cheaper though.

Jacuzzi Studio The Pyramids

So, Jacuzzi Studio The Pyramids is actually the apartment, which is also why there’s a minimum requirement of 2 nights stay.

The reason why this apartment is so popular online is because it has a hot tub next to the window overlooking the pyramids. Plus, when you’re staying there, you actually feel like a local, which is what a lot of people love to experience.

I’d say this option is great if you’re a slow traveller or a digital nomad looking to take it easy in Cairo and spend more than 2 nights there.

The apartment is really lovely which is why it is also in a very high demand, so book it asap if this is your primary choice!

One thing to note is that the reviews on Booking have dropped in rating, but it still has a high rating on other platforms, so double check the reviews thoroughly, especially the recent ones before booking this accommodation.

Marriott Mena House, Cairo

Marriott Mena House is the most luxurious and expensive hotel on this list, but also the most beautiful and historical one!

The Mena House Hotel was established in 1866. Many famous people have stayed there, such as King George V and Queen Mary, Winston Churchill, Richard Nixon, Agatha Christie, Frank Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin.

Everything about this hotel is simply perfect, from the lush garden area, outdoor pool to the room with private balconies with the pyramids view.

If your budget allows, I definitely recommend you to stay there!

💡P. S. Even if you don’t stay there, you can still come for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy the grounds of the hotel, and of course, the views of the pyramids. I recommend coming for breakfast because it is more peaceful.

The best rooms are with the pyramids view (obviously) because you get your own balcony and can even have a private breakfast while enjoying the views.

Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo

Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo is another beautiful 5 star hotel in Giza. While not as luxurious as the Mena House, it does offer a good level of luxury for 3rd of the price you’d pay at Mena.

It has a nice outdoor pool area where you can cool down after a full day of sightseeing the pyramids. You can also book the rooms with balconies to enjoy the private views of the pyramids.

The only con is that the hotel is not that close to the pyramids, so the views are not as nice, but it’s a good choice if you’re looking for affordable luxury options to stay in Cairo.

The Pyramids of Giza

💡While my recommendation is always to stay in Giza rather than in Cairo downtown, I just want to set your expectations straight. Giza is very much a local and undeveloped area of Cairo with a rural vibe. With that said, as soon as you exit the hotel grounds, the smell of horse and camels poo will dominate the streets, which are also often dirty. Rest assured that the hotels are detached from all these smells and as you can see, they look gorgeous, but the reality outside is somewhat different and therefore I wanted to be transparent with you.

Pyramids View Inn

Pyramids View Inn is one of the most affordable hotels in Cairo on this list of best hotels with the pyramids view.

Even their rooms with balconies with the views of the pyramids are often cheaper than the standard no view rooms in other hotels.

Jimmy Pyramids Hotel

Jimmy Pyramids Hotel is a nice cheap option, but with somewhat obstructed views of the pyramids (mainly from the room). There’s one building in front that is in the way of the clear views, but you can still enjoy it.

What’s cool is that there are rooms with a jacuzzi next to the window which adds up to the experience.

There’s a nice rooftop area with awesome views and bohemian vibe.

Panorama View Pyramids

Panorama View Pyramids has gorgeous unobstructed views of the pyramids (also reminds me a lot of the Great Pyramid Inn).

The rooftop area is gorgeous, wide and very romantic.

You can also book rooms with the pyramid views. Overall, it’s another great value for money.

You can expect views like these

Gaia Pyramids Hotel

Gaia Pyramids Hotel is a really nice choice, especially as there are many different suites with hot tubs and spa baths and balconies with the view to choose from.

The rooftop area looks really nice too. The only con is that you mainly see the 2 pyramids instead of 3, but nevertheless, it’s a great value for the price.

⭐️ N/A ❤️ 8.6 Fabulous 💰£47+ per night ✅ Book it

Pyramids Height Hotel & Pyramids Master Scene Rooftop

The main reason why I included Pyramids Height Hotel & Pyramids Master Scene Rooftop on my list of best hotels with pyramids view in Cairo is because they have an outdoor pool with the view!

It’s a perfect Instagram spot + is there anything better than chilling by the pool while looking at the pyramids!?

Additionally, it is so super affordable, it’s almost unbelievable! Definitely a great value for all the experiences you can get here.

⭐️ N/A ❤️ 8.5 Very Good 💰£31+ per night ✅ Book it
