11 Best Resorts in Hurghada: Top Places to Stay

Whoever thinks of Egypt, the first thing that comes to mind is the pyramids, followed by temples in Luxor. And don’t get me wrong, they were my first reason to visit Egypt too. But as I was planning my trip, I realised that any itinerary without Hurghada, a resort town on the Red Sea, would be incomplete. With clear and turquoise sea, Hurghada is a cheap (or at least affordable) heaven on Earth. In this blog post I’m sharing with you my 11 best resorts in Hurghada.

All these resorts have one thing in common: each comes with a private beach which is what I particularly loved. Hurghada town can be a bit chaotic place sometimes, so having a private peace while you’re relaxing by the beach is definitely needed.

Resorts on the list are for any budget and type of traveller, so I’m sure you will find a great place for you to stay in Hurghada.

Swiss Inn Resort

Swiss Inn Resort is my all time favourite resort in Hurghada, and when I’m back, I’m definitely going to stay there again.

Firstly, it’s a 5 star resort that is incredibly affordable!

Second, it is beautifully decorated and has an amazing private beach. The only downside is the bathroom, which can be refurbished to look more nicely, but maybe they were because it’s been awhile since my trip to Egypt.

Nevertheless, Swiss Inn Resort is a great choice with an amazing value for price. It’s also all inclusive.

Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort

Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort is a beautiful 5 star resort in Hurghada.

It’s one of the best hotels in Hurghada because it has a private beach, 3 outdoor swimming pools, a disco bar and 6 restaurants. Some suites come with a hot tub or a private pool, so if you can, I would definitely look at booking those rooms.

Pickalbatros White Beach Resort

Pickalbatros White Beach Resort is probably the most loved hotel in Hurghada on this list of best resorts, considering the amount of reviews it has and an average rating (both very high!).

It’s one of the best 5 star hotels for families because they have an Aqua Park on site, so it’s a great choice if you’re travelling with kids.

However, there are also 2 adults-only pools which makes Pickalbatros a great all inclusive resort for any kind of traveller.

The best part? It’s very affordable!

Meraki Resort (Adults Only)

However, if you want exclusively an adults-only resort, then Meraki Resort (Adults Only) is the best choice for you.

Similarly to Pickalbatros, it has a lot of reviews and a high rating, but it is a kids-free zone.

The resort has boho-chic vibes and is based on a clubbing resort concept, so if this is your travel style, then the choice is a no-brainer here.

Rixos Premium Magawish Suites and Villas

Rixos Premium Magawish Suites and Villas is surely the best luxury resort on this list as it offers only suites and villas.

It has a 1km (0.6 mi) long private sandy beach, 30 swimming pools and 9 different types, 1 main buffet restaurant, 7 a la carte restaurants and 14 bars!

If you’re a luxury traveller, then this is definitely a perfect place for you.

Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort is located on the famous Makadi Bay in Hurghada.

The resort is decorated in the oriental style and is another great choice for families as it features an aqua park.

Each room comes with either a terrace or balcony which is perfect for chilling in the mornings and/or evenings.

If you’re not willing to break the bank, but would still love to stay in a nice place, then this is a perfect stay choice for you.

Premier Le Reve Hotel & Spa Sahl Hasheesh (Adults Only)

Premier Le Reve Hotel & Spa Sahl Hasheesh is a great luxury choice but for adults only.

It has fresh and salt-water pools, including a glass-domed sky pool. The resort is so beautifully decorated that it reminds of a palace.

Personally, I’d say this is the best choice for couples who are into luxury travel.

The Oberoi Beach Resort, Sahl Hasheesh

The Oberoi Beach Resort, Sahl Hasheesh is another beautiful luxury resort in Hurghada.

It offers suites with private terraces and some even come with the private pool.

What I love about it particularly is the design. Each suite features a high domed ceiling, has a lot of natural light and is decorated with traditional oriental design elements.

The Makadi Spa Hotel is great for couples as it’s a couples-only resort.
