⚠️ Before we go into recommendations, I just want to emphasise that not all rooms in these hotels have the view of the Acropolis, so if you’re specifically looking for a room that has it, make sure to read the rooms descriptions before booking.

Panoramic Suite

We stayed in the Panoramic Suite and honestly, it was such a great decision!

While initially I was looking for hotels that have a room with the Acropolis view, when I stumbled upon this apartment, I couldn’t believe it with my eyes. We basically had the whole place for ourselves and that included: a huge covered terrace with an amazing view of the Acropolis.

But beside the terrace, we could also see the Acropolis from our living room and bedroom. The views were really amazing, so each morning we had coffee on the terrace and each evening beers to enjoy the views.

While the morning and daytime views were really beautiful, the night time views, when the whole Acropolis glows, were out of this world beautiful!

I really cannot recommend it more to you. The location was great – we were in Monastiraki, which meant we were a short walking distance from all the major sites in Athens. Plus, it was affordable to stay there, especially to some other hotels and apartments on this list.

Panoramic Suite really has the best value for price and it would be my first choice when I’m again in Athens!

A for Athens

A for Athens is the most popular hotel and rooftop bar with the Acropolis view.

It is located next to Monastiraki Square, which means you’d stay in the heart of Athens.

If you stay there, you can enjoy breakfast with the view. Besides that, you can also book a room or suite with private views of the Acropolis.

Even if you’re not staying there, you can still come for drinks at their rooftop bar. The views from the rooftop are really beautiful and you don’t need a reservation, but you’d need to wait for a table to become free in that case.

Fos Residential Apartments

Fos Residential Apartments is a collection of apartments, most of which come with the Acropolis view.

They’re located in Plaka, which is the most popular and touristy neighbourhood, only a few minutes walk from the Acropolis.

The best apartment to rent is their Penthouse because it comes with the private terrace from which you can enjoy the views.

Electra Palace Athens

Electra Palace Athens is a five-star hotel with an amazing rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis.

I personally wouldn’t recommend coming to Athens in summer, but if you do, then having a pool to refresh is a necessity, so this hotel is therefore a great summer choice.

Besides the common rooftop area, there are also rooms and suites with private views.

While it’s not the cheapest choice on the list, it is also not that expensive given it’s a luxury hotel in the city centre.

⭐️ 5 Star ❤️ 9.2 Superb💰£199+ per night ✅ Book it

King George Hotel

King George Hotel is the most luxurious hotel on the list, so if you’re into luxury hotels that come with Acropolis views, this is the best choice for you.

It’s located on Syntagma Square and has a rooftop bar and restaurant where you can enjoy the panoramic views.

Additionally, if you don’t mind breaking the bank, then their Penthouse Suite is the best choice as it comes with a private outdoor pool and beautiful Acropolis views.

Areopagus Hill

Herodion Hotel

Herodion Hotel is one of the closest hotels to the Acropolis and therefore guarantees a great view.

The hotel is basically next to the Southern Slope entrance, which is in my opinion a better one to enter. We totally missed seeing the Theatre of Dionysus as it was not obvious from the main entrance where to go (I so want to slap myself in the face right now, but what can you do!).

It’s also next to the Acropolis Museum, so it truly makes a great location for sightseeing.

You can enjoy the views from the rooftop terrace, and there are also rooms that come with the view. The prices are quite affordable and the hotel truly offers a good value for price.

⭐️ 4 Star ❤️ 8.9 Fabulous💰£126+ per night ✅ Book it

Coco-Mat Athens BC

Coco-Mat Athens BC, even though it is a 5-star hotel, is also one of the most affordable hotels on this list.

It’s very close to the Acropolis Museum too, so again, the location is really great. There are rooms and suites with a direct view of the Acropolis.

Acropolis

The Zillers Boutique Hotel

The Zillers is a boutique hotel designed by an architect Ernest Ziller who transformed Athens into a modern European city.

There are rooms and suites with the Acropolis view, but the rooftop terrace is probably where you’d want to spend most of your time.

⭐️ 4 Star ❤️ 8.9 Fabulous💰£138+ per night ✅ Book it

The Dolli at Acropolis

The Dolli at Acropolis is the most expensive and one of the most luxurious on this list of hotels with the Acropolis view.

Nevertheless, it is also one of the best hotels to stay, especially if you’re visiting in summer. They have an amazing rooftop infinity pool with a direct view of the Acropolis, so I can’t imagine a better place to cool down and relax.

Additionally, the Acropolis Suite is the best choice if you’d love to have private views.

⭐️ 5 Star ❤️ 9.6 Exceptional Fabulous💰£538+ per night ✅ Book it

Nymphs Hill

The Athens Gate Hotel

The Athens Gate Hotel would’ve been my choice if I didn’t stumble upon the Panoramic Suite.

I loved the location, and the beautiful views of the Acropolis from the rooftop terrace and some rooms. Additionally, there are also rooms with the view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, which is currently under restoration.

Plus, it’s affordable to stay there.
